Alliance Technical Group (“ATG”) is a Blackstone-backed environmental compliance, testing, and monitoring platform with more than 60 locations across North America. As ATG continues to grow, we are building a high-performing sales organization to match our ambitious goals. This opportunity is ideal for an accomplished Business Development Manager who wants to help establish the discipline and operating rigor of a best-in-class sales function within a fast-paced, private-equity-backed organization. The role offers direct exposure to the Chief Commercial Officer, CEO, business unit presidents, and the Blackstone deal team.

Alliance Technical Group is on the lookout for an exceptional, sales driven individual to take on the pivotal role of Business Development Manager. If you're a dynamic and talented professional with a passion for environmental sales and a track record of meeting/exceeding sales goals, this could be the career-defining opportunity you've been waiting for. The starting salary is $130K CAN to $145K CAN base annual salary plus a generous performance bonus and uncapped commission. The successful candidate will oversee our Eastern Ontario area (Toronto, Sarnia, London) and travel will be a necessity.

Position Overview:
This position will focus on new business development and grow revenues in existing and newly assigned Eastern Canada territory. Additionally, the role will build strategic market position by locating, developing, defining, and closing business relationships and project opportunities.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Identify, pursue, and close new clients who meet Alliance’s prospect profiles
  • Build relationships with new and existing customers in the territory
  • Identify and meet with partners / consultants and practices active listening skills for existing and new clients’ needs
  • Attend local, regional, industry specific, and national trade shows where Alliance can build brand awareness
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert not only on our products, services, and quality, but also know Alliance’s differentiation and what makes our process unique
  • Work with our operations and technical experts to land all opportunities
  • Display the highest levels of ethics, determination, and a desire to win
  • Utilize provided tools, including SalesForce Enterprise, to effectively manage activities, tasks, follow up, and identify opportunities

Minimum Requirements:

Education – Bachelor’s degree preferred in Engineering, Science or related field. Must have familiarity with CRM (SalesForce Enterprise or Other) and MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)

Experience – Minimum 3-5 years of experience in direct sales, ideally in industrial, technical, or environmental/field services sales.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities —Superior customer service attitude and proven track record of being a self-starter, must have initiative and the ability to make quality decisions. Excellent interpersonal, communication, presentation, and written skills when interacting with all levels of professionals. Strong attention to detail with excellent accuracy of all information. Ability to pass a background and drug screen and hold a valid driver’s license
