Job Title: Project ManagerJob Description

This Project Manager role provides reliable, timely, and professional support for day-to-day project management activities across multiple construction and renovation projects ranging in value from $250K to $5M. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders at all levels of the organization, using independent judgment to plan, prioritize, and organize a diverse workload. The position focuses on delivering projects safely, on time, and within budget while supporting regional and national performance targets.

Responsibilities
  • Support project executives on multiple projects and assignments, ensuring consistent progress and alignment with project goals.
  • Develop detailed project scopes and schedules for assigned projects, including key milestones and deliverables.
  • Identify and address areas of concern related to project risk, logistics, budget, and scope, and recommend appropriate mitigation strategies.
  • Coordinate and track all vendor Requests for Proposals (RFPs), ensuring timely issuance, responses, and evaluations.
  • Interact and negotiate with contractors and subcontractors to secure favorable terms and maintain strong working relationships.
  • Prepare and update project status reports, process invoices, update tracking reports, and maintain organized files for due diligence and financial records.
  • Actively track each aspect of project performance against schedules and critical path, and escalate issues when needed.
  • Coordinate the activities of subcontractors and support the relocation of technical functions as required by the project.
  • Demonstrate a proactive focus on meeting client and project requirements in a timely and cost-effective manner.
  • Ensure a safety plan is in place for each project and verify that all activities follow a safety-first methodology.
  • Assist the Local Project Development Services team in meeting Adjusted Gross Margin (AGM) targets at regional and national levels as set by the Management Executive Committee.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in the use and application of Project Development Services technology and tools required for assigned projects.
  • Travel to project locations as required to oversee activities, meet stakeholders, and support project delivery.
Essential Skills
  • Minimum of 4 to 7 years of relevant work experience in project management or construction management.
  • Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management.
  • Proven experience in project management or construction management, particularly in construction and renovation projects.
  • Ability to prepare, manage, and track project budgets effectively.
  • Strong understanding of technical requirements for construction and renovation projects.
  • Ability to adapt and prioritize tasks to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment, both as part of a team and working independently.
  • Outstanding interpersonal and communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to communicate effectively with architects, contractors, client representatives, and team members.
  • Familiarity with architectural and engineering drawings and their application in project delivery.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, ranging in value from $250K to $5M.
  • Proficiency in using project management and Project Development Services technologies and tools.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Mechanical background or experience in mechanical systems related to construction projects.
  • Experience working in biofarm or research laboratory environments.
  • Engineering degree, beyond the minimum requirement, is highly valued.
  • Experience coordinating vendor RFP processes and contractor negotiations.
  • Experience tracking project performance against schedules and critical paths.
  • Demonstrated focus on safety planning and implementation on construction projects.
Work Environment

Pay and Benefits
