Title: Pavement Marking Supervisor II
Classification: Non-Exempt

POSITION SUMMARY:
The Pavement Marking Supervisor II manages employees assigned to safety projects, ensuring all work is completed to customer specifications. They communicate with prime contractors regarding project progress and assign tasks to PMT I, II, and III team members, following up to ensure quality and completion. The supervisor directs pavement marking operations on state highways, roadways, and other assigned projects. They lead the traffic control crew, supervise job sites, and oversee project-related operations, including employee, motorist, and pedestrian safety, DOT compliance, inventory control, customer billing, and personnel management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Oversee all aspects of pavement marking projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to client specifications.
  • Direct and supervise pavement marking crews, providing training and support to ensure efficient and safe operations.
  • Communicates with customers regarding billing and project changes, relaying relevant information to appropriate RoadSafe employees.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and contractors, addressing project updates, billing inquiries, and any changes to project scope.
  • Place and maintain traffic control devices such as cones and barricades to ensure the safety of workers and motorists in the work zone.
  • Regularly inspect work sites to ensure compliance with safety standards and project specifications, making adjustments as necessary.
  • Drives the Truck Mounted Attenuator (TMA) vehicle to and from projects and within work sites to protect workers and the work zone.
  • Oversee the maintenance and repair of marking equipment and ensure the availability of necessary materials and supplies for projects.
  • Following all safety rules and regulations to ensure a safe work environment.
  • Adhering to all company policies and procedures to maintain compliance and consistency.
  • Performing other work-related duties as assigned to support team objectives and operational needs.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
  • Valid Driver’s License (CDL Class A preferred).
  • Must pass a background check, including motor vehicle records check.
  • Must successfully pass a drug test and meet federal DOT requirements.
  • Wear proper safety equipment (work boots with safety toe, hard hat, safety glasses, and safety vest).
  • Must successfully complete the ATSSA TCT intermediate training course.
  • Must successfully complete the ATSSA Pavement Marking intermediate training course (if mandated by the state).
  • Must be able to read plans, ensure traffic control plans are implemented and maintained, comply with road signs, complete paperwork, and understand federal and state motor carrier safety regulations. Knowledge of state and local roadways and experience operating delivery vehicles of varying sizes.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds.
  • Knowledge of safety procedures for securing and transporting cargo.
