Job description

Position Summary

The Associate Project Technician supports ASRC Field Services at Joint Base Elmendorf-Richardson through research, data analysis, and administrative coordination. This role is responsible for compiling reports, maintaining records, and assisting with project tracking to ensure smooth departmental operations. The Associate Project Technician works closely with the Program Manager, QA Manager, and departmental leads to implement updates and support project execution.

This is a temporary position ending 07/31/2026.

Essential Job Functions

  • Assist in the implementation and maintenance of the AIMS inventory system
  • Support fleet management operations for service vehicles
  • Monitor and track programmatic and project-related tasks
  • Compile reports and summaries with limited supervision
  • Update, review, and maintain records, forms, and documentation
  • Conduct data analysis and create reports and spreadsheets in Excel to track program benchmarks
  • Assist in identifying trends and providing recommendations for process improvements
  • Serve as a point of contact for cross-departmental coordination and communication
  • Provide administrative support for overall program management
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 1โ€“3 years of related experience in project coordination, data analysis, or administrative supportย 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience supporting project management or special projectsย 
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills (data tracking, reporting, analysis)
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to summarize data and support decision-making
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with team members and stakeholders
  • High level of interpersonal skills, professionalism, tact, and diplomacy in a fast-paced environment
