Our client is a leading global specialty geotechnical contractor that delivers innovative foundation and ground engineering solutions for complex infrastructure, commercial, industrial, and civil construction projects. THE ROLE

Reporting to the Project Manager, the Project Coordinator will play an integral role in supporting projects from the estimating and planning stages through construction and project closeout. This position works closely with project managers, field teams, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to help ensure projects are delivered safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Support project execution from estimating and planning through construction and final project closeout.
  • Assist with project budgets, forecasting, scheduling, and cost tracking.
  • Coordinate project documentation including submittals, procurement packages, quality documentation, and turnover packages.
  • Monitor labour, equipment, material, subcontractor, and supplier costs while maintaining accurate project records.
  • Prepare progress reports and assist with project reporting requirements.
  • Coordinate equipment, materials, and workforce mobilization to project sites.
  • Review project drawings and specifications while identifying scheduling concerns, potential cost savings, and construction challenges.
  • Work closely with Project Managers, Engineers, Estimators, field personnel, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Assist in ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget.
  • Promote and support a strong health and safety culture while ensuring compliance with all company safety policies and procedures.
  • Travel to project sites as required to support project coordination and execution.


REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a Project Coordinator or Project Engineer role within heavy civil, infrastructure, geotechnical, construction, or industrial projects.
  • Strong understanding of construction project coordination, scheduling, budgeting, and project documentation.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
  • Experience working with project management software is considered an asset.
  • Ability to read construction drawings and specifications.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Willingness to travel to project sites as required.
