Position: Project Specialist III
Salaried: Exempt Position
Reports to: Studio Partner
Summary of Position:
The Project Specialist III is an integral team member of the assigned studio, working on a variety of projects and serving on various project teams. Project Specialist III is an advanced support position for the Project Manager and/or Project Architect in the production of construction documents and drawings. Guidance and supervision are provided by the Project Manager and/or Project Architect on work assignments related to specific projects. The Studio Partner provides overall direction to the work of the project teams and the Project Specialist III.

Responsibilities : (others may be assigned)
COMMUNICATION
- Communicate with internal and external team members on task assignments
COLLABORATION
- Produce conceptual design, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation using Revit/BIM processes according to direction provided by Project Manager, Architect and/or Project Architect
- May assist in producing graphic depictions including perspectives/renderings/photo-realistic renderings from Revit model using Enscape
- Assist in the preparation of project presentations as directed
- Establish relationships with consultants and engineers and utilize their services to advance the work of the project
- Active participant at project meetings including presenting information, answering questions, following up on any necessary actions, and compiling/distributing meeting minutes
PROJECT MANAGEMENT
- Work directly with Project Manager to perform and complete tasks when no Project Architect is assigned to team
STANDARDS AND CODES
- Demonstrate expertise in the PRA Working Drawing Checklist and modeling standards while mentoring less experienced team members
- Conduct research on products, codes and ordinances to determine project compliance, and make recommendations to support the project team
- Complete shop drawing reviews, RFI's, CB's, addenda and submit to Project Architect or Project Manager
- Conduct field measuring and investigations for assigned projects
Requirements
Desired Qualifications/Knowledge:
- Minimum associates degree in Architecture. Bachelors or masters degree preferred.
- Two or more years' experience as Project Specialist II or equivalent Architectural design/drafting experience
- Demonstrate success and knowledge growth in the position of Project Specialist II
- Proficiency in Revit/BIM process
- Working knowledge of RFP and project pursuit process
- Working knowledge of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering systems
- Ability to understand construction documents, safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Ability to write routine reports and correspondence that are professional, concise and appropriate to the audience
- Ability to Travel between the Office and Client/Job Sites. Valid Drivers License and access to an insured vehicle during business hours.
- Ability to present information to and answer questions from the internal project team and external clients, consultants, and contractors
- Willingness to work in a team environment to achieve desired results
- Ability to prioritize time and tasks to meet project deadlines

Physical Requirements:

Work Environment:
Duties and responsibilities are generally performed in an office setting. Occasional travel to offsite locations to perform work and work-related tasks or to attend meetings may be required. Work may be required outside of standard business hours as project needs may require meeting attendance or work be performed in evenings or weekends.
