Assistant Project Manager - Commercial Construction

Meridian, MS | Direct Hire | $75,000-$95,000


Our client is seeking an Assistant Project Manager (APM) to support commercial and mission-critical/data center construction projects in Meridian, MS.

Specializing in data center interior solutions, our client delivers raised access flooring, hot and cold aisle containment, high-density ceilings, specialty interior systems, maintenance services, and consulting/testing for some of North America's most advanced mission-critical facilities.

This is a direct hire opportunity for a motivated construction professional looking to build a long-term career in project management. Working alongside experienced Project Managers, you'll gain hands-on experience managing project schedules, documentation, subcontractors, budgets, and field operations while developing into a future Project Manager.


Responsibilities

  • Support the Project Manager throughout all phases of construction
  • Coordinate project schedules, RFIs, submittals, and project documentation
  • Manage material expediting, deliveries, and project files
  • Assist with budgeting, cost tracking, and project reporting
  • Coordinate with field operations, subcontractors, and vendors
  • Monitor project progress and communicate schedule impacts
  • Support inspections, quality control, and project closeout


Qualifications

  • 2+ years of commercial construction experience
  • Understanding of construction schedules, budgets, and contracts
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office
  • Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills
