Mittera Wisconsin is seeking an experienced Project Manager to serve as a trusted partner to our clients and a key connection between our customers and production teams. In this role, you will oversee projects from initial specifications through final delivery while building strong, long-term client relationships. You'll work closely with clients to understand their needs, recommend effective print solutions, coordinate with internal production teams, and ensure projects are delivered on time, accurately, and to the highest standards.


This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned Project Manager who enjoys client relationships, problem-solving, ownership, and working in a fast-paced production environment. Beyond managing projects, you'll play an important role in growing existing accounts by identifying opportunities to introduce clients to additional Mittera services and solutions.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities


Client Account Management

  • Build and maintain strong, long-term client relationships through proactive communication and exceptional service.
  • Develop a thorough understanding of each client's business, goals, preferences, and ongoing project needs.
  • Anticipate client needs and proactively communicate project updates, challenges, and opportunities.
  • Identify opportunities to expand client relationships and introduce additional Mittera services, including large format, direct mail, fulfillment, and other solutions.
  • Monitor account activity and communicate significant opportunities, concerns, or risks to leadership.


Project Management & Production Coordination

  • Manage projects from initial client discussions and specifications through production, completion, and delivery.
  • Translate client requirements into clear, accurate job specifications and production instructions.
  • Partner with estimating to develop timely and accurate quotes.
  • Coordinate with prepress, pressroom, bindery, fulfillment, and other departments to keep projects moving efficiently.
  • Establish and monitor project timelines, milestones, and deliverables.
  • Review proofs, specifications, and finished products to ensure accuracy and alignment with client expectations.
  • Identify potential production issues early and work with internal teams to develop effective solutions.


Problem Solving & Client Support

  • Take ownership of client concerns, production challenges, and project changes through resolution.
  • Serve as the communication bridge between clients and internal teams when issues arise.
  • Balance customer expectations, production capabilities, quality, timelines, and company profitability when making decisions.
  • Communicate changes, delays, or potential issues proactively and professionally.
  • Ensure project changes and additional services are properly documented and communicated for accurate billing.
  • Participate in post-project reviews and identify opportunities to improve processes and customer experience.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of professional Project Management experience; experience in commercial printing, manufacturing, direct mail, fulfillment, or a similar production environment strongly preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines and maintaining attention to detail.
  • Strong client relationship, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to understand technical specifications and effectively coordinate between clients and production teams.
  • Proven ability to take ownership, work independently, and collaborate across departments.
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field preferred; equivalent experience will be considered.
