Construction Project Engineer

Job Title: Project Engineer
Job Location: Reno, Denver, Boise, or candidates willing to travel 
Salary: 70k - 80 + per diem, bonus, car allowance, gas card and much more! 
Requirements: Strong experience to grow your skill set in the construction industry! Prior Project experience at a data center or for a mechanical contractor would be a plus! 

Project Engineer

Join a leading mechanical subcontractor on a cutting edge data center project. This role puts you at the center of a high visibility, technically advanced build where your coordination, problem solving, and attention to detail will directly impact mission critical infrastructure. You will work alongside experienced project managers, trades, and vendors to deliver precision mechanical systems on an accelerated schedule.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support project management by preparing and maintaining jobsite documentation such as RFIs, change orders, ASIs, submittals, QA and QC records, and supplemental design documentation.
  • Manage site logistics including badging and orientation paperwork, field office supplies, and site administration.
  • Coordinate deliveries and staging of equipment and materials to meet schedule and site constraints.
  • Assist cost control by assembling estimates, tracking budgets, and monitoring productivity metrics.
  • Oversee subcontractors and vendors to ensure scope, quality, and schedule compliance.
  • Administer procurement by writing and tracking purchase orders and subcontracts.
  • Maintain schedule by updating project timelines and supporting schedule recovery activities.
  • Represent the team at project meetings and help translate design intent into field execution.
 

Required Skills and Attributes
