Clinical Director, Full-Time

Job Summary

The Progress Place is seeking a full-time Clinical Director to provide clinical leadership, program oversight, and support for our community-based behavioral health services. The ideal candidate must have strong knowledge of community-based care, clinical documentation, staff supervision, compliance expectations, and treatment service delivery.

This position is best suited for a fully licensed Georgia professional who is organized, confident in leadership, and committed to supporting quality services for children, families, and individuals in the community.

Required License

Candidates must hold an active, unrestricted professional license in the State of Georgia, such as:

  • Licensed Professional Counselor, LPC
  • Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, LMFT
  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker, LCSW

Required Experience

  • Minimum of 2 years of management, supervisory, or leadership experience
  • Experience in community-based behavioral health services
  • Strong understanding of clinical documentation, treatment planning, assessments, and service delivery
  • Experience providing clinical supervision and staff support
  • Knowledge of Georgia behavioral health standards, Medicaid documentation, and compliance expectations preferred

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide clinical oversight and leadership for community-based programs
  • Supervise clinical staff and support quality service delivery
  • Review clinical documentation for accuracy, medical necessity, compliance, and timeliness
  • Support staff with assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, crisis planning, and clinical decision-making
  • Ensure services align with agency expectations, client needs, and applicable state and payer requirements
  • Monitor clinical performance and assist with staff development
  • Support audits, quality assurance reviews, and corrective action planning when needed
  • Collaborate with leadership to improve clinical systems, workflows, and service outcomes
  • Promote a professional, ethical, trauma-informed, and client-centered culture
