Job description

Overview

The Salvation Army’s Quincy Corps., is hiring a Program Assistant and offers the following benefit package to part-time employees:

Location: 6 Baxter St., Quincy, MA

Hours/week: Up to 8 hours per week; primarily on Saturdays

Exemption: Non-exempt

Pay Range: $15.00 - $20.00 per hour

*starting pay varies depending on experience and qualifications*

The Program Assistant is responsible for facilitating group rentals of the gym and other designated spaces, primarily on Saturdays, ensuring proper use of facilities and readiness of the building for Sunday programming.

This job description is not all inclusive.  It is intended to identify the essential duties of the position.  Other duties, responsibilities and tasks may be assigned.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Open and close the building for rental groups
  • Monitor rental groups to ensure proper use of facilities and address questions or concerns
  • Ensure rental groups clean up after use of facilities
  • Inspect the building for Sunday readiness and perform janitorial tasks as needed
  • Ensure rental groups have access to necessary supplies
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support successful group rentals and maintain facility readiness
  • QUALIFICATIONS

    Education Requirements:

    High School Diploma preferred

    Work Experience:

    Previous experience in customer service or custodial work preferred

    Other Qualifications:

    • Punctuality and reliability are essential
    • Ability to communicate effectively with group leaders and facility users
    • Ability to work independently and follow instructions
