The Cart and Checkout Services team is a core pillar of lululemon's technology organization, owning the platforms that enable fast, reliable, and scalable global e-commerce checkout. This team tackles complex engineering challenges to deliver high-performing checkout experiences that directly impact revenue, guest satisfaction, and business growth.
core responsibilities
As a senior leader you will be accountable for the strategy, execution, and operational excellence of critical initiatives, partnering closely with Product, Design, Architecture, and Business leaders. You are comfortable operating at both a strategic and executional level-setting direction, managing cross-team dependencies, and driving outcomes that directly impact the business.
  • Lead and develop a high-performing Program & Operations team, including Program Managers and Operations specialists
  • Drive end-to-end program execution for large, cross-functional initiatives, ensuring alignment to business priorities, timelines, and outcomes
  • Orchestrate cross-functional delivery by managing dependencies, resolving blockers, and ensuring alignment across Product, Engineering, SRE, and Business teams
  • Lead planning and prioritization across initiatives, balancing roadmap commitments, capacity, and KTLO needs
  • Align cross-functional teams on priorities and trade-offs, ensuring focus on highest business impact work
  • Own operational excellence rhythms, including incident reviews, RCA follow-through, and continuous improvement of service health and reliability
  • Establish governance frameworks including operating cadence, decision-making structures, and escalation paths
  • Own risk and dependency management, proactively identifying issues and driving timely resolution across teams
  • Drive visibility through standardized reporting, dashboards, and executive-ready communication on status, risks, and outcomes
  • Ensure production readiness and release coordination, partnering with teams to enable smooth, predictable launches
  • Track and drive key operational and delivery metrics (e.g., reliability, cycle time, incident trends, SLA adherence)
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to translate strategy into executable plans and measurable outcomes
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives across delivery and operational processes to increase efficiency and predictability
  • Foster a culture of accountability, transparency, and execution discipline across programs and operations

qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree and/or applicable experience in the information technology field.
  • 10+ years of experience in program management, operations, or delivery leadership within technology-driven organizations
  • Proven track record of leading large, complex, cross-functional programs with multiple dependencies and stakeholders
  • Strong experience in operational excellence, including incident management, RCA processes, and driving reliability improvements in partnership with engineering teams
  • Demonstrated ability to drive execution across teams without direct authority, influencing senior stakeholders and aligning priorities
  • Experience with planning and prioritization at scale, including quarterly/annual planning, capacity management, and balancing roadmap vs. KTLO work
  • Solid understanding of software development lifecycle (SDLC) and modern delivery practices (Agile, Lean, or hybrid), without requiring hands-on coding
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and metrics to drive decisions and improvements
  • Excellent communication skills, with experience presenting program status, risks, and trade-offs to senior leadership and executives
  • Experience building and leading high-performing Program/Operations teams, including coaching, performance management, and career development
  • Ability to establish governance, processes, and operating rhythms that improve execution consistency and transparency
  • Experience in retail, eCommerce, or high-scale customer-facing platforms is a strong plus

compensation and benefits package
lululemon's compensation offerings are grounded in a pay-for-performance philosophy that recognizes exceptional individual and team performance. The typical hiring range for this position is from $179,800 - 236,000 annually; the base pay offered is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and internal equity. As part of our total rewards offering, permanent employees in this position may be eligible for our competitive annual bonus program, subject to program eligibility requirements.
