Job Description

The Training Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the local training program for personnel assigned to the physical security team. The Training Coordinator leads, coaches, coordinates, and documents the data center contract security training initiatives to include new hire onboarding training, ongoing and refresher training as well as planning for, delivering and evaluating team level training exercises and drills. They will manage and continually assess a team of Field Training Officers to ensure the consistent delivery of these training programs.

The Training Coordinator develops and delivers training direction, methods, resources, and process improvements to maintain operational readiness for site incident response. The Training Coordinator will work closely with peers at other client locations to develop standardized or similar training programs as well as collaborating with the Global Training Program Manager on overall training objectives and use of tools.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

    Plan, conduct and evaluate training, drills, and exercises to maintain or improve officer proficiency and readiness
  • Routinely measure and assess the effectiveness of training being conducted to ensure expectations and contractual obligations are being met
  • Work collaboratively with Data Center Security Managers and Security Operations Center Managers to establish and conduct ongoing training events

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to meet and maintain any applicable state licensing requirements
  • Must possess, or be able to obtain, CPR/First Aid/AED instructor certification
  • Must possess a minimum of two (2) years of experience in a supervisory capacity within a security organization
  • Must possess a minimum of one (1) year of experience in conducting classroom instruction
  • Service in Military Occupational Specialty related to law enforcement, security (such as Military Police, Elite Military Forces, combat arms) or any support role in a Combat Zone
  • Graduate of a Certified Public Safety Academy (military or civilian) in the law enforcement, adult corrections, or firefighter field
  • Bachelor's degree in protective service, business, or related field
  • A minimum of eight (8) or more years of active service in any military branch
  • Associate's degree (or 60 credits) in criminal justice with current or prior active military service
  • Two (2) years of verifiable data center security experience
  • Three (3) years of verifiable private/corporate security experience
