The 309th Software Engineering Group is seeking a Lead Acquisition Program Management Specialist to command full-lifecycle program management for our most complex and high-risk initiatives. In this pivotal role, you will be the architect of procurement strategies that provide the warfighter with essential supplies and services exactly when they are needed most.
Executive Leadership and Strategic Vision, As a lead within the organization, you will provide expert technical and administrative leadership over a multidisciplinary team. You are not just managing tasks; you are integrating organizational vision into actionable milestones. You will be responsible for the strategic distribution of workload, performance coaching, and fostering a culture of excellence. By managing acquisition strategies and optimizing cost, schedule, and performance baselines, you will ensure that every project is a success and every resource is allocated for maximum mission effect.
Command Expedited Procurement Operations. You will specifically lead the Government Purchase Card (GPC) Procurement Branch, the engine responsible for the rapid acquisition of commercial supplies and services. Your team provides the critical capability to purchase directly from vendors, bypassing lengthy contractual vehicles to meet mission requirements at or below the micro-purchase threshold. Your oversight ensures that these expedited purchases are executed with precision, maintaining meticulous documentation and purchase logs that serve as the foundation of our procurement accountability.
Be the Bridge to Mission Success. In this high-visibility position, you will serve as the primary liaison between internal leadership and external stakeholders. Your expertise in navigating the complexities of the defense acquisition cycle will be the key to orchestrating project success from inception to delivery. You will ensure that the Department of War, the United States Air Force, and the United States Space Force have the agile procurement framework necessary to maintain a decisive edge.

5. Ability to work with, lead, and manage various groups or individuals to resolve difficult problems/situations as related to organizational issues. Ability to understand and deploy lean concepts in problem resolution.
7. Skill in interpreting and applying complex DOD, USAF, AFMC, and AFSC regulations, methods, operating procedures, and policies, as well as developing methods and operating procedures as required.
8. Ability to utilize Art of Possible (AoP) concepts and initiatives to plan, organize, and direct the functions and staff of an organization.
