The HRIS + HR Operations Program Manager brings a strong blend of technical and functional expertise in Workday and HR operations to play a critical role in bridging technology, compliance, and operational excellence. This individual ensures that HR systems and processes support business goals, employee lifecycle management, and data integrity while also serving as a credible internal influencer who shapes stakeholder decision-making and drives meaningful strategic partnerships across the organization. A successful HRIS + HR Operations Program Manager connects strategy with execution, shifts fluidly between both, and thrives in a cross-functional, data-driven environment.

As an HRIS + HR Operations Program Manager, you will:

  • Lead HRIS and HR Operations project governance, defining roles, responsibilities, and approval processes; develop and monitor project plans, schedules, and deliverables to ensure successful execution
  • Partner with IT and third-party vendors to manage system upgrades, integrations, data integrity, troubleshooting, and overall system performance

  • Serve as the internal liaison for outsourced payroll processing, overseeing pre-processing activities including collection, verification, and reconciliation of timecards and hours worked
  • Perform audits and reviews of payroll data in coordination with third-party managed payroll services; manage post-payroll responsibilities, including funding, balancing, and distribution of internal reports
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve payroll-related issues and ensure alignment with organizational policies; provide support for timekeeping, system configuration, testing, and training as needed

As an HRIS + HR Operations Program Manager, you have:

  • 2+ years of hands-on Workday experience, including system configuration, reporting, and cross-module administration
  • 4+ years of progressive HR experience with broad exposure to HR operations, compliance, and process management
  • A demonstrated ability to manage complex, cross-functional HR projects with rigor, including the development and monitoring of project plans, schedules, and deliverables
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills, with a proven ability to use data-backed insights to shape decisions and drive alignment across leadership levels
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with a focus on data-driven decision-making; experience building and maintaining HR dashboards and workforce metrics
  • A high proficiency in HRIS systems and project management tools; ability to connect strategy with execution and shift between both as needed
  • Familiarity with outsourced payroll processing, pre- and post-payroll reconciliation, and coordination with third-party payroll providers
  • A High school diploma or equivalent is required

Preferred:

  • PHR, SPHR, or PMP certification
  • Experience in a financial services or credit union environment
