Position Description & Qualifications
Serco is seeking an Acquisition & Program Management Professional III to provide acquisition, program management, and systems engineering support to Department of Defense customers across Air Force, Army, Navy, Joint, and Defense Agency programs. This position supports government Portfolio Acquisition Executives (PAE), Program Executive Offices (PEOs), Program Management Offices (PMOs), and acquisition organizations responsible for the development, procurement, modernization, sustainment, and fielding of mission-critical capabilities.
The successful candidate will apply expertise in Defense Acquisition System processes, requirements development, program execution, contracting support, risk management, and stakeholder engagement. The individual will work alongside government civilian and military leaders supporting acquisition programs throughout the program life cycle.
This position supports customers in the National Capital Region, Dayton Ohio, Patuxent River Maryland, and Northwest Florida, requiring familiarity with diverse acquisition and operational environments.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
  • Support government acquisition programs throughout all phases of the acquisition life cycle.
  • Assist in development and execution of acquisition strategies and program management plans.
  • Prepare, review, and coordinate acquisition documentation, milestone materials, and program decision packages.
  • Support cost, schedule, and performance management activities.
  • Track and manage program risks, issues, and mitigation plans.
  • Coordinate activities among government stakeholders, contractors, and functional support organizations.
  • Support development of requirements documentation, Statements of Work (SOW), Performance Work Statements (PWS), and acquisition planning documentation.
  • Assist with contract execution, program reviews, and contractor performance assessments.
  • Develop executive-level briefings, reports, and status updates for senior government leadership.
  • Facilitate Integrated Product Team (IPT) meetings and stakeholder engagements.
  • Support systems engineering, test, logistics, cybersecurity, and financial management activities as required.
  • Assist government leadership in analyzing acquisition alternatives, trade studies, and programmatic impacts.
  • Support implementation of DoD acquisition policies and best practices.
  • Actively participate in business development activities to help grow the business.

To be successful in this role, you will have:
  • U.S. Citizenship
  • Active Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree inEngineering,Systems Engineering,Business Administration,Program Management,Acquisition Management,Logistics,Information Technology or related field
  • Minimum 15 years of relevant DoD acquisition, program management, or systems engineering experience.
  • Ideal candidate is a Senior Material Leader/Program Manager (O-5/O-6, GS-15/NH-4 levels)
  • Experience supporting DoD ACAT 1 acquisition programs under DoDI 5000 series guidance.
  • Experience preparing acquisition documentation and program management artifacts.
  • Experience supporting cost, schedule, and performance management.
  • Experience working with government and contractor teams in a collaborative environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience developing executive-level briefings and decision support materials.
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
