Read Better Be Better is looking for a Program Coordinator who is passionate about supporting high school students, expanding career pathways in education, and creating equitable opportunities for youth across Arizona. A Day as RBBB's Program Coordinator

The Program Coordinator supports the success and growth of Read Better Be Better's Pathway to Education Professions program. Working closely with the Pathways Program Manager, this role helps maintain high-quality program implementation, strengthen participant engagement, and support expansion opportunities that connect high school students to careers in education.

Your day may begin in the office responding to participant communication, organizing program materials, reviewing student data, and coordinating logistics for upcoming programming and events. You'll collaborate with the Program Manager and internal teams to ensure programs are running smoothly and participants are receiving consistent support.

Throughout the week, you'll build relationships with high school students, support recruitment and retention efforts, facilitate participant engagement, and maintain communication with school and community partners. You may also travel throughout the Greater Phoenix area to support program activities, meetings, and events.

You'll help foster a positive and accountable program culture by supporting participants, addressing challenges professionally, and encouraging continuous growth and development among students.

Through your organization, communication, and mentorship, you help students explore meaningful education career pathways while advancing Read Better Be Better's mission and impact.

Work Environment

Work is performed in both off-site (school and community) and office environments, with travel throughout the Greater Phoenix area to support programming, meetings, and events.


What You Need to Qualify

Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field such as Nonprofit Management, Social Work, Community Engagement, or equivalent experience/continuing education

Strong communication, organization, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills

Ability to manage conflict professionally and maintain positive relationships with students, partners, and team members

Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

Commitment to RBBB's mission, vision, and values

Valid Arizona driver's license (or ability to obtain before start)

Valid IVP fingerprint clearance card (or ability to obtain before start)

Successful completion of a Department of Child Safety (AZDCS) Central Registry check

Proficiency with Microsoft 365 Office Suite and Slack

                                         

Preferred Qualifications

1–2 years of experience working with or leading high school students through mentorship, facilitation, youth leadership, camp counseling, or similar experiences

1–2 years of experience in education, youth-serving, or nonprofit organizations

Experience in program development or project management

Familiarity with Salesforce or similar CRM systems and project management platforms such as Monday.com

Strong time management and self-direction skills
