Transform Ambulatory Care Delivery Through Epic Implementations Across a National Health System

Are you an Epic Ambulatory expert passionate about optimizing outpatient workflows and improving the patient and provider experience?

Prime Healthcare is hiring an Epic Implementation Manager (Ambulatory) to lead enterprise deployments across a large and growing ambulatory network. This role will focus on standardizing and scaling ambulatory workflows across clinics and outpatient settings.

Travel Requirement:

Requires frequent travel (up to 50-75%) to hospital sites across the U.S., especially during key implementation phases.

Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Epic Program Manager, the Epic Implementation Manager oversees Ambulatory applications and is responsible for managing all aspects of future Epic implementations at Prime hospitals.

In this role, you will lead large-scale Epic Ambulatory implementations across a diverse and growing outpatient network. You'll guide clinics and physician groups through the full implementation lifecycle, helping standardize workflows while balancing the unique needs of different specialties and locations.

On a daily basis, you'll partner with physicians, practice leaders, and operational stakeholders to design efficient, scalable workflows that enhance both provider productivity and patient experience. You'll lead your team through key milestones, ensure alignment across multiple sites, and step in to resolve challenges quickly and effectively. During go-live, you'll be onsite supporting teams, troubleshooting issues, and ensuring a smooth transition. After each go-live, the Implementation Manager will oversee a comprehensive handoff to the Production Support team, ensuring a successful transition of support for the hospital.

The Implementation Manager will supervise performance of all analysts on their team, which is comprised of the applications in their domain (Ambulatory). Your leadership will directly impact how care is delivered across hundreds of ambulatory settings.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead end-to-end Epic Ambulatory implementations across multiple clinics and outpatient sites
  • Oversee all phases including planning, design, build, testing, go-live, and stabilization
  • Partner with physicians, practice managers, and ambulatory leadership to align workflows and system design
  • Drive workflow standardization while accommodating specialty-specific needs
  • Lead and mentor Ambulatory application analysts, ensuring strong team performance and growth
  • Coordinate across multiple locations and stakeholders to ensure aligned execution
  • Provide onsite leadership during go-live, supporting providers and staff through transition
  • Identify and proactively address implementation risks and operational challenges
  • Ensure a smooth transition to Production Support following stabilization
  • Build strong relationships with clinical and operational leaders across the ambulatory network
  • Drive continuous improvement by applying lessons learned across sites and future deployments

Qualifications
  • Six (6) or more years of applicable work experience required.
  • Minimum five (5) years of experience working with electronic medical record required.
  • Experience leading an Epic implementation required.
  • Bachelor's degree in Healthcare Management, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience with an integrated healthcare information system preferred.
  • Minimum four (4) years of experience in project management preferred.
  • Knowledge of healthcare industry and hospital operations preferred.
  • Experience leading large teams.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to, skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials and licensure.
