Job Description
The Granite YMCA is seeking an experienced professional with supervisory skills, fleet management, scheduling experience, and a strong understanding of fiscal management. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 2 years of administrative or supervisory experience in a business setting as well as extensive knowledge of fleet management and professional/commercial driving experience.
Qualifications
Knowledge and Abilities:
  • Able to develop positive and effective working relationships with drivers, camp and childcare staff, and administrative support teams.
  • Effectively lead groups, facilitate discussion, and train staff.
  • Able to handle multiple projects and work in a fast-paced environment.

Skills and Experience:
  • Commercial driving experience and a CDL bus license required
  • Fleet management including dispatch
  • Ability to work independently and operate as a team within department, branch and the association
  • Highly organized and exceptional attention to detail
  • 2 years of experience working in a professional environment and proficiency in Microsoft Office
  • Working knowledge of FMCSA, IFTA, DOT guidelines and laws as well as Federal Clearing House

Essential Functions
The Transportation Director supports all of The Granite YMCA's transportation needs for childcare, camp and specialty programs. This is a dynamic role and the ideal candidate should be a self-starter, have strong problem-solving skills and strong organizational skills.
This position is based in Goffstown NH where the fleet is kept throughout the year.
Basic Job Functions:
  • Responsible for managing all aspects of driver supervision from hiring, onboarding, training and scheduling.
  • Work collaboratively with Program Directors and Executive Directors to ensure smooth operations and work as a team towards a goal.
  • Work collaboratively with Association Facilities Director on vehicle maintenance and association needs related to the fleet
  • Complete small mechanical repairs as needed
  • Coordinate trainings for non-CDL drivers
  • Oversee inspection and registration of the fleet
  • Ensure the drivers are operating the bus according to the Association and Dept. of Transportation safety standards and manner
  • Maintain concise records essential for control, evaluation, and reporting
  • Process PO's as needed and process fuel receipts
  • Drive the bus an average of 15 hours per week
  • Hold regular staff meetings and trainings for drivers
