Job description

The Granite YMCA is seeking a Site Director to lead one of our Before and/or Aftercare program sites. This is an exciting leadership opportunity for someone passionate about youth development, staff mentorship, and creating a high-quality, engaging program environment.
As a Site Director, you will oversee daily program operations, lead a team of staff by having a hands on part of the program and ensure compliance with YMCA standards and New Hampshire state licensing requirements. This role is ideal for a strong communicator and leader who thrives in a dynamic, youth-focused environment.
This position can be either Full Time or Part time and is located at one of our public school sites. Some hours will be fullfilled at the Allard Center branch as well as in the school before and after regular school hours.
Shifts: Mornings 6:45-8:30am and 2:30-6:00pm. Full time also includes prep/planning time during the day.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement a safe, engaging, and developmentally appropriate program aligned with YMCA standards and NH licensing
  • Oversee daily operations including supervision of youth, attendance, behavior management, and activity implementation
  • Foster a positive environment that promotes YMCA core values and character development
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with families and school partners
  • Supervise and support Group Leaders and Assistant Group Leaders as the on-site leader
  • Collaborate with the Program Director to maintain program quality, compliance, and communication
  • Plan weekly schedules, curriculum, and activities; manage supplies and site organization
  • Ensure accurate documentation and alignment with school policies, YMCA procedures and Childcare Licensing standards
  • Support extended programming including vacation camps, snow days, and family engagement events

Qualifications:
  • Must meet State of New Hampshire licensing requirements for School Age Childcare Site Director
  • CPR/AED and First Aid certifications (or willingness to obtain)
  • Experience in youth development, childcare, or school-age programming required
  • Previous supervisory or leadership experience preferred
  • Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to lead staff and manage a dynamic program environment
