Our client is looking for an Program Director for a project and below is the detailed requirement.

Job Title: Program Director

Location: Sarasota, FL - Hybrid

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Engineering, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field with an overall experience of 14-18+ years in IT, Data, and Enterprise Transformation programs.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Program Director leading large-scale enterprise Data Modernization or Digital Transformation initiatives.
  • Proven experience delivering enterprise-wide Data Modernization programs within Property & Casualty (P&C) Insurance, Financial Services, or other highly regulated industries.
  • Strong understanding of modern Data Lakehouse architectures, with expertise in Databricks, Medallion Architecture (Bronze, Silver, Gold), Delta Lake, and cloud-native data platforms.
  • Experience leading cross-functional programs involving Data Engineering, Data Architecture, Data Governance, Data Quality, Analytics, and Business Intelligence teams.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise data architecture, metadata management, data governance, schema management, data contracts, and cloud-based data integration strategies.
  • Proven experience establishing enterprise program governance, executive steering committees, operating models, risk management, budgeting, and delivery governance.
  • Hands-on experience managing vendor engagements, RFP processes, systems integrators, contract negotiations, and third-party delivery teams.
  • Experience collaborating with executive leadership including CIO, CDO, CTO, business executives, enterprise architects, and business stakeholders to define enterprise data strategies.
  • Strong understanding of SDLC, Agile, SAFe, enterprise program management methodologies, organizational change management, and enterprise transformation best practices.
  • PMP, PgMP, SAFe, or equivalent Program Management certification is highly preferred.
  • Excellent leadership, executive communication, stakeholder management, decision-making, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the end-to-end delivery of a large-scale Enterprise Data Modernization Program, owning program scope, roadmap, budget, timelines, risks, governance, and overall execution.
  • Define and drive the strategic vision for modernizing enterprise data platforms by transforming legacy data ecosystems into scalable cloud-native Data Lakehouse solutions.
  • Establish enterprise program governance, executive steering committees, operating cadence, decision frameworks, KPIs, and delivery standards across multiple workstreams.
  • Partner with executive leadership to define enterprise data strategy, modernization roadmaps, implementation priorities, and long-term business objectives.
  • Provide strategic leadership on Databricks Lakehouse implementations, ensuring adherence to Medallion Architecture principles, enterprise data governance, metadata management, and data engineering best practices.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architects, Data Architects, Data Engineering teams, Business Leaders, and Technology partners to align technical solutions with business goals.
  • Lead business and technology stakeholders through discovery workshops, strategic planning sessions, dependency management, risk mitigation, and executive decision-making.
