American Senior Communities is now hiring a Sales Development Manager for the Senior LivingDivision

Are you a strategic sales professional who thrives on building momentum, solving challenges, and driving measurable growth? We are seeking a dynamic leader to support both newly acquired and occupancy-challenged senior living communities by implementing customized sales strategies that accelerate census growth and long-term stability.

Under the direction of the Director of Business Development & Sales, this role is responsible for developing and executing targeted sales initiatives that move communities from launch to stabilization. You will assess performance gaps, evaluate market opportunity, strengthen referral pipelines, and implement data-driven strategies that drive occupancy and revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and execute tailored sales and marketing strategies for new and underperforming communities
  • Analyze market trends, competitive positioning, and referral sources to identify growth opportunities
  • Identify performance gaps and implement corrective action plans
  • Strengthen and expand professional referral networks
  • Support new community launches with structured sales processes and occupancy ramp-up plans
  • Partner with Executive Directors and community teams to improve sales execution and accountability
  • Monitor occupancy metrics and provide regular performance reporting
  • Travel to assigned communities as needed to support onsite strategy implementation
Qualifications
  • Proven success in senior living, healthcare, or related sales leadership
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret occupancy and market data
  • Previous senior living sales experience required
  • Experience turning around underperforming communities or launching new developments preferred
  • Excellent relationship‑building and communication skills
  • Ability to travel as required
