Reporting to the Sales Manager - Western Canada Food Service, the Account & Business Development Manager acts as sales representative for Nortera Foods, with chain accounts, distribution and end-users for its assigned territory.

THE ROLE:

  • Execute Foodservice Growth Strategy, develop key markets, and grow our current Broadline customer base;
  • Maintain business relations with current customers of the company;
  • Seek & develop new business opportunities, with the above clientele, in the assigned territory;
  • Analyze sales using external and internal data to help make strategic business development decisions;
  • Conduct business reviews, sales meeting presentations, Food show, Distributor driven marketing activities to ensure that annual plan and objectives are on track;
  • Negotiate, under the supervision of the Sales Director, the contractual agreements;
  • Perform all administrative tasks related to the position (eg sales report, quotes & discounts, forecasting, budgeting etc ...);
  • Management of customer, RFP processes, Shark Tank, Bid Reviews, and all pricing activities;
  • Collaborate with cross functional teams (Supply Chain, Finance, etc.);
  • Manage complaints with the help of our Customer service department;
  • Assist distributors in training their sales representatives as well as users;
  • Deliver results against an annual budget target;
  • Manage, Drive and Inspire our customers!

PROFILE:

  • Ideally 10 years of experience in the FoodService industry;
  • Experience in Account Management and GPO exposure;
  • Strategic mindset;
  • Experience in negotiations, meeting sales goals, building relationships;
  • Ability to manage processes, engagement, and customer training;
  • Strong oral and written skills in English;
  • Engaged and team player;
  • Based in Alberta (Calgary or Edmonton) / Home-based with traveling mainly in Alberta.
