Business Development Manager A&D - Calgary (frequent travel throughout the Prairies is required)

Compensation and Benefits

The A&D (architect and designer) and Builder Channel segment of the Caesarstone value chain is an important channel that drives major category/industry influence while representing some of the largest, high-profile design/construction projects in the commercial and residential building industry. The A&D and Builder Channel Business Development Manager role will ensure that the face of Caesarstone is established as a brand and category leader to drive market impact, working closely with the Regional Sales Manager to align strategies, maximize opportunities, and strengthen relationships.

Proven sales experience converting leads into customers is required, with a demonstrated ability to manage the full sales cycle, from prospecting and relationship development through specification, negotiation, and successful project completion

RESPONSIBILITIES

Business Development Manager – A&D / K&B / Builder Channels

  • Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with architects, interior designers, design firms, builders, kitchen and bath professionals, and any assigned fabricators (if applicable). Act as a trusted advisor by demonstrating in-depth knowledge of products and services to meet project requirements.
  • Proactively identify and pursue new sales opportunities across the architecture and design, kitchen and bath, and builder sectors. Leverage industry insights to present innovative solutions aligned with client needs, trends, and budgets.
  • Present, educate, and inspire interest in Caesarstone products through product knowledge meetings, lunch-and-learns, design and development meetings, CEU presentations, company and industry events, showroom engagements, and social media channels.
  • Serve as the primary relationship manager for defined territory accounts, driving the Caesarstone brand and product through all channels and providing measurable increases in Share of Shelf (SOS), Share of Wallet (SOW), and selector list inclusion, as defined by the Regional Sales Manager.
  • Own and execute total account plan annual strategy and KPIs, including joint business planning initiatives to grow fabricator partnerships, builder relationships, and specification opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain a project opportunity pipeline focused on obtaining product specifications on residential, commercial, and multifamily projects to meet individual KPIs and regional and national goals.
  • Own and maintain market insights, tender timelines, submission requirements, and commercial pipeline information, leveraging Caesarstone systems and third-party tools (e.g., Dodge) to identify new project leads.
  • Collaborate with architects, designers, builders, fabricators, and internal teams throughout the project lifecycle from conception through completion to ensure smooth project execution and delivery.
  • Communicate internally among team members to maximize customer opportunities and work closely with the Regional Sales Manager on project-related products, timelines, quarterly targeted SPC initiatives, and builder direct sales agreements.
  • Provide samples, literature, and marketing tools in support of the Caesarstone brand and product within the assigned market.
  • Ensure all customer issues are addressed proactively and effectively, keeping management informed of any issues that may escalate.
  • Provide post-sale support and service at customer residences where applicable by region.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of client interactions, sales activities, pipeline status, call reports, and forecasts using the CRM system (Salesforce).
  • Stay informed on industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies, providing insights to management to support sales strategy and product development.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry conferences, networking events, and internal learning hours while building and expanding a professional network across A&D, K&B, and Builder communities.
  • Work showroom shifts as required.

Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree Marketing, Sales, or equivalency in experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of successful sales experience with a proven track record of persuading/influencing others.
  • Proven track record in B2B sales, with a focus on architectural or design-related industries.
  • Strong understanding of architectural and interior design concepts, materials, and trends.
  • Ability to develop and deliver presentations, create, compose, and edit written materials.
  • Proven history of sales success identifying and developing new business opportunities
  • Ability to translate client needs into effective solutions.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and results-driven with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must be willing to travel. Valid Driver’s License and willingness to work a flexible schedule with occasional overnight travel.

WORKING CONDITIONS

  • Frequent local travel, occasionally requiring multi hour drives.
  • Frequent travel throughout the Prairies is required
  • Manual dexterity required for computer and presentation tools.
  • Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs and weekend showroom coverage as needed.
  • Flexibility in schedule, including occasional overnight trips for meetings or events
