Position Qualification
Position Summary
The Program Director serves as the principal agent for each of the respective educational programs in the CAHP. The Program Director is responsible for providing leadership and administrative oversight to achieve the highest quality program outcomes in education, research, clinical practice, and service, thus ensuring continuous program accreditation. The Program Director oversees the development of program strategic priorities; participates in the execution of UNMC and CAHP strategic priorities, provides curricular oversight; recruits, develops, and evaluates program faculty and staff; participates in fiscal oversight and management of the program, and in collaboration with the CAHP Office of Research, develops the program's agenda for scholarly activity.
Required Qualifications
  • Holds an active, unencumbered PT license in any United States jurisdiction and is in compliance with the practice act in the jurisdiction where the program is located.
  • Has earned an academic doctoral degree (PhD, EdD, DSc, or related) or previous CAPTE-granted exemption.
  • Holds the rank of associate professor or professor.
  • Has a minimum of six years of full-time higher education experience, with a minimum of three years of full-time experience as a core faculty member in a CAPTE-accredited physical therapist education program.
