Summary

Summary

The Program Coordinator assists with divisions support activities.  This position requires a team-oriented, organized individual with a strong background in government project management as well as experience in analytics and reporting.  The ability to effectively communicate, and to excel and adapt in a fast-paced and dynamic multi-task environment are a must.

 

Essential Functions:

  • Coordinates with personnel to ensure effective functioning and reporting work moves smoothly from one functional area to another.
  • Supports coordination and division level reporting, analytics, trend reporting across multiple programs
  • Supports ongoing planning, execution and close out activities.
  • Works with program manager and/or client on manpower planning
  • Ensure proper training of employees' subordinates. 
  • Maintains record of changes in instructions and ensures all team members are informed of changes.
  • Ensures completion of administrative reporting, e.g., timecards, daily statistics, logs, and task narratives.
  • Responds to client requests and questions.
  • Assists with writing manuals, processes, and other documentation.
  • Responsible for status and task management reports for area of responsibility.
  • Performs a variety of complex analytical tasks in support of one or more contract programs.
  • May develop plans, including budgets, and monitors tasks to meet contractual/project requirements for assigned program(s).
  • Interacts regularly with customers and other industry representatives to ensure conformance to customer requirements.
  • Supports operational reporting metrics and SLA management internal and external
  • Identifies and resolves issues to eliminate or mitigate the occurrence of consequences that may impact on the contract.
  • Works with the team to resolve issues and concerns.
  • Evaluates and monitors the performance and efficiency of programs to ensure that implementation is on target.
  • Plans and supports teambuilding events
  • Other tasks compatible with position as assigned
  • May be requested and required to participate in Proposal Support functions due to expertise

Work Environment

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

 

Physical Demands

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 75% of the time.
  • Occasionally moves about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
  • Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.
  • Expresses or exchanges ideas by means of the spoken word.  Those activities in which they must convey detailed or important spoken instructions to other workers accurately, loudly, or quickly.
  • Frequently the standard office equipment moves up to 25 pounds.
  • Must be able to work indoor conditions 90% of the time.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms.

 

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. We offer a hybrid remote work environment, and typical days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Evening and weekend hours as required by business need. Your manager will describe this opportunity further including the options available for your position.

Travel:

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-re-area travel and overnight may be expected.

 

Experience:

  • Must have at least 2-4 years of professional experience managing projects.
  • 1-year program management experience preferred.
  • Must demonstrate ability to manage contracts and personnel.
  • Must demonstrate ability to conduct all the responsibilities listed above and demonstrate previous experience.
  • Must demonstrate experience in general planning, evaluating, analyzing, and implementing government programs.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, including ability to communicate solutions effectively to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to function effectively in challenging situations.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree, preferred.

 

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  •  PMP certification a plus
