SUMMARY:
The Program Manager position is a key member of Armada's Project Management Office (PMO) and is deployed to manage programs and projects from end to end to ensure that quality, scope, schedule, and cost are managed according to project constraints and PMO methodologies. Primary job responsibilities include (but are not limited to) program management governance and stakeholder prioritization, project plan development and maintenance, business cases development, solution design, project resource management, project budget management, cross-organizational coordination, and facilitation, change management, and critical issue resolution and escalations.
The Program Manager is expected to build an effective and professional working relationship with business functions and be able to communicate with senior levels of the organization. A successful candidate should be organized, self-motivated, independent with a positive "can-do" attitude. In addition, this individual should have strong business and technical acumen, be comfortable working with IT and Integration professionals, as well as highly function in a bi-modal PMO with an innovation focus, with great interpersonal skills.
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Holistic program management responsibilities, results reporting, and management of projects that ensure successful results to the organization
  • Act as a liaison between business users and technology resources to provide thought leadership and ensure proper solution design for relevant business outcomes
  • Interact with business stakeholders and interview business unit personnel at all levels to understand and document their requirements for a project, problem, or opportunity
  • Gather project requirements, quantify project costs/benefits, scope out project deliveries, estimate resource hours, and prepare business cases to get project proposals vetted and approved by the leadership team
  • Create a communication plan that is clear, useful and tailored to stakeholders at all levels - staff level to C-suite
  • Use effective program management documentation and tools to define and manage the constraints of the project management triangle: scope, budget, and timeline
  • Define and manage program objectives, roadmap, and success criteria.
  • Ensure alignment between program initiatives and business strategy.
  • Establish governance frameworks and reporting structures.
  • Facilitate cross-functional decision-making and issue resolution.
  • Monitor program performance and recommend corrective actions.
  • Work with project teams to identify and manage program level risks, dependencies, roadmap, and success criteria
  • Coordinate with other functional leadership to resolve resource and schedule conflicts and dependencies. Escalate to the project steering team if needed
  • Monitor and report project KPIs to ensure effective measurement of program success
  • Become fully immersed in Armada's Project Management methodologies and contribute to continuous innovation ideation and improvement
  • Identify, assess, and implement improvements that will promote successful project delivery and PMO process execution
  • Evaluate project cost/benefits to support leadership in project and portfolio governance/prioritization

Qualifications, Education, and Experience Requirement
Minimum:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Project Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field
8 years of project/program management experience.
Working knowledge of standard project management processes, skills, tools and techniques
Experience with OnePlan, Microsoft Project or other project management software
Must be capable of working in a multitasking environment where multiple, concurrent projects need to be managed simultaneously
Excellent verbal and written communications skills and/or experience preparing technical documents are required
Exceptional stakeholder management capabilities
Preferred:
Ideal candidate will possess high energy, be a strong team player, creative thinker and strategic influencer
PMP Project Management Certification
Demonstrated ability to analyze and interpret complex business processes and systems
Experience with business analysis and related activities (requirements documentation, test cases, implementation plans...)
Familiarity with IT Project Management and in particular SDLC and/or Agile methods
Experience in supply chain, distribution, innovation, or logistics environment
Language and technical skills requirement
Proficient in Microsoft Suite of products. Knowledge of MS Project, OnePlan, and Visio a plus
Technical integration and business architecture is a plus
Solid problem-solving skills, with demonstrated experiences of individual and team based problem solving
Strong communication and interpersonal skills
