Job description

Position Description:
Are you currently Registered in the state of Louisiana? Would you like the opportunity to shape the next generation of nursing professionals?? If so, Medical Training College of Baton Rouge, LA, has the perfect opportunity for you.
Medical Training College is seeking a full-time PN Program Coordinator to join our dynamic team and lead our PN program at our Baton Rouge campus. This is an administrative position with no direct patient care. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, forward-thinking, and highly motivated.
Required Education, Skills, and Experience:
Must hold a current and valid Registered Nurse license in Louisiana.
Minimum of four years of experience in medical-surgical nursing or nursing education
At least one of those four years must have been as a medical-surgical hospital staff nurse providing direct patient care (give details on resume).
A Bachelor of Science in Nursing is preferred but not required. Must have practiced as a nurse for a minimum of six full-time months during the three years immediately preceding appointment to this position.
All of these requirements MUST be listed on the resume.
Responsibilities include:
Overseeing the development, implementation, and routine evaluation of program philosophy, objectives, and curriculum.Maintaining regular communication between nursing department faculty and school administration while routinely collaborating with the Campus Director to make departmental decisions.
Providing coordination of LPN clinical experience and onsite training.
Collaborating regularly with the Practical Nursing faculty to evaluate curriculum and assess adequate student program progression.
Assuring the program's compliance with the standards of all regulatory bodies while maintaining key responsibility for reports to the Louisiana State Board of Practical Nurse Examiners.Recruiting, recommending, and orienting faculty while routinely providing training and evaluation.
Representing the Medical Training College Practical Nursing Program at professional meetings and public functions when appropriate
Performing other duties as assigned by the college administration
