Job description

Summary

Function as Program Coordinator within the Center for Advancing Population Science. Broad job duties include support to one or multiple research units within a center research program. In addition, duties include participating in community engagement, student engagement, regulatory and data management, statistical team support, and administrative organization.


Primary Responsibilities

Community Engagement

  • Serve as a liaison between program staff and the community to support program activities and engagement.

  • Work with diverse populations to schedule events and gather input/feedback on program activities.

  • Assist in planning and conducting community events at community sites.

  • Compile and distribute educational and program materials.

  • Support outreach and community education to increase participation and engagement.

Student Engagement

  • Serve as a point of contact for students and participants involved in program activities.

  • Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining educational materials and program components.

  • Support coordination of educational seminars, trainings, and events.

  • Assist with tracking participation and basic evaluation of program activities.

Data Support

  • Work with faculty and team members to support the development and maintenance of standard procedures for data-related activities.

  • Assist in reviewing and organizing documents to ensure proper data handling and adherence to privacy and confidentiality guidelines.

  • Support tracking and monitoring of data-related projects and activities.

  • Prepare written and PowerPoint summaries of project status, key findings, team activities, and survey or feedback results.

Administrative

  • Serve as a key point of contact for partner organizations and communities.

  • Organize and prepare status reports, project reports, and related documentation.

  • Assist in developing action plans and organizing health education materials.

  • Communicate effectively with community members, faculty, study staff, and administrative teams.

Knowledge - Skills - Abilities Knowledge of quality control, customer service standards, collaboration, and information management, procedural processes, and recordkeeping. Organization, time management, interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Qualifications

Appropriate experience may be substituted for education on an equivalent basis.

Minimum Required Education: Bachelor's degree

Minimum Required Experience: 2 years

Work requires occasionally lifting moderate weight materials, standing, or walking continuously.

Work Environment

Occasional exposure to dust, noise, temperature changes, or contact with water or other liquids. Work is performed in an environmentally controlled environment.

Ability to detect and translate speech or other communication required. May occasionally require the ability to distinguish colors and perceive relative distances between objects.
