Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Program Control Analyst (level 2) to join our team of qualified, diverse individuals. This position will be located in Clearfield, UT requires working from our NG facility. This role is eligible for hybrid work arrangement, however not fully remote.
This Program Control Analyst position will interface with the program managers, functional management, and cost account managers (CAMs) to provide financial and administrative support and analysis to meet program requirements. Candidate will contribute valuable experience and knowledge with Earned Value and performance measurement baseline concepts, financial forecasting and reporting, and be able to apply them to multiple contracts for control accounts within an engineering Integrated Product Team (IPT).
Earned Value Management (EVM) tasks include:
Establishment of Work Breakdown Structure for execution of budgeted cost of work scheduled, assessment and maintenance of objective performance criteria, maintenance, and justifications of estimates to complete, and support to internal and external reporting requirements for variance analysis. As well as, budget baseline, funding analysis, cost risk analysis/assessment and visibility reports, preparation of government cost performance reports and preparation and/or review of performance measurement variance analysis as well as development and analysis of estimates to complete.
Financial Forecasting tasks include:
Generating awards, sales, margin, cash monthly forecast with accurate representation of program execution. Complete variance analysis and trend analysis against all financial metrics to home in in discrepancies as well as drive to forecast accuracy. General an Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and Long-Range Strategic Plan (LRSP) to project program financial performance and requirements. Monitor and maintain contract working capital, accounts receivable, and backlog values and impacts. Partner with Business Managers and Program Managers to adhere to financial forecast cycles and accuracy.
This is a fast-paced high energy environment that requires a self-motivated employee to join the team. The ideal candidate will possess the following traits and abilities:
  • Ability to use financial systems, to learn basic understanding of EVMS principles and hands on cost performance reporting/analysis skills
  • Develop and implement solutions of moderate scope and complexity
  • Analyze variances/trends and develop new methods and process techniques
  • Work under very general supervision while completing numerous assignments per schedule and elevating potential issues to ensure proper management focus
  • Guide and influence peers and internal customers
  • Good interpersonal skills while representing the group on special projects outside of own group

This Program Control Analyst duties may include; supporting the development of budget baselines and maintaining cost/schedule integration; support preparation of budgets, schedules, and ETC/EAC; perform and/or assist in financial performance analyses and visibility reporting; assist in the preparation and submittal of monthly CDRLs such as IPMR; support variance analysis reports; facilitate and support program monthly rhythm process, incorporate baseline changes into EVM system while utilizing Deltek Cobra, SAP/S4, wInsight, Tableau/PowerBI, and MS Excel/Project/Powerpoint.
Basic Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree with 2 years of experience in Business Management, Finance, Accounting, OR a Master's degree with entry level experience in Business Management, Finance, Accounting
  • Experience with MS Office including Excel (with Macros, Pivot tables and XLOOKUP) and PowerPoint
  • Prior experience supporting financials and cost modelling or management
  • Ability to work on site in Clearfield, UT

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in Government Contracting with Earned Value Management (EVM)
  • Experience with Business systems (SAP, Cobra) and using Cobra in a Government Earned Value Management rhythm
  • Financial forecasting experience on Firm Fixed Price (FFP) and Cost Plus type contracts
  • Experience with the AOP (annual operating plan) and LRSP (long range strategic plan) processes
  • Understanding of US Government procurement and contracting, Cost Accounting Standards, and FAR
  • Candidate has the ability to identify issues and problems across multiple contracts and make recommendations to management for resolution of mitigation
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs

Primary Level Salary Range: $65,500.00 - $98,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
