Northrop Grumman Defense Systems is seeking a Guidance and Control Requirements Manager 2 for the Guidance and Control (G&C) System. This position will be located in Roy, UT.

What You Will Get To Do:

Program Manager responsibilities include managing cost and schedule of all G&C requirements development related work packages, working with specialty teams on needed analysis and handoffs as they relate to requirements development. Additionally, the lead will work with contract management teams on specification updates for suppliers.

This role is dual-hat in nature and the selected candidate will additionally manage a section of 8-12 Guidance, Navigation, and Control Systems Engineers reporting to the Guidance, Navigation, and Control Department on a 20% time allocation. Key functional management responsibilities include: personnel performance management, process familiarization, and training for Section members, as well as staffing of roles on projects.

The successful applicant will:

Lead a team of systems engineers, leveraging their experience in one or more of the following specific skills: Model Based Systems Engineering (Cameo), Requirements Management (DOORS), Verification Planning, Interface definition, and planning.

Manage cost and schedule aspects of PSE deliveries, leveraging experience in Earned Value Management

Able to set and promote high standards for engineering development

This positions standard work schedule is a 9/80. The 9/80 schedule allows employees who work a nine-hour day Monday through Thursday to take every other Friday off. This role may offer a competitive relocation assistance package.

You'll Bring These Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) and a minimum 8 years of related experience or Master's degree in STEM with 6 years of related experience

Must have an active U.S. Government DoD Secret security clearance at time of application, current and within scope, with an ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) approval within a reasonable period, as determined by the company to meet its business need

Experience in Program Execution, Staffing, Engineering Metrics and Training resources, Processes, and Tools.

Product Lifecycle Management tools

Earned Value Certification

These Qualifications Would be Nice to Have:

Master's degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Math (STEM) or related discipline

1 year of experience leading a project and/or driving performance against schedule

Active U.S. Government DoD Top Secret security clearance

Experience in People and Technical Leadership roles

2 years of experience with program control (IMS, EVMS), budgeting, and staffing

Experience managing suppliers

Experience with all phases of the systems engineering development life cycle, specifically requirements validation and verification

Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering and DOORS or Cameo tools

Experience with Risk Management and/or Cost-Risk-Benefit Analysis

Experience with working with government/military personnel at government/military facilities

Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices

Primary Level Salary Range: $139,100.00 - $208,700.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
