Department: Compliance

Reports to: Compliance and Operations Manager

FLSA Status: Full-time, Non-Exempt

Job Summary:

VVSD is seeking a dynamic, customer service focused Compliance Program Associate. The Program Associate provides day-to-day administrative and clerical support to the programs, Compliance, and other administrative departments as needed.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Research questions using available information resources.
  • Assists programs in preparation for required grant reporting and required audits.
  • Research requested information for various grants and proposals.
  • Provide support for SSVF Temporary Financial Assistance requests.
  • Maintains a positive working relationship with the Accounting Department to ensure all invoices are paid in a timely manner.
  • Responsible for the inventory, disbursement, and assignment of the Company's cell phones.
  • Process purchase order requests for all departments; seeks proper authorization for all purchase
  • orders prior to acquiring requested equipment and supplies; and ensures orders are received and disburses as appropriate.
  • Inventory and data tracking for the Company's fixed assets.
  • Assist with creating and conducting tranings
  • Assist with creating and revising polices and procedures
  • Conduct program audits, safety and health inspections
  • Complete special projects and assignments as requested.
  • Other duties as assigned


Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree preferred
  • A minimum of 1 year of paid staff/employee supervision experience is preferred
  • Strong computer skills in: MS Word, excellent Excel skills, PowerPoint, Outlook.
  • Excellent written (grammar and spelling) and verbal skills
  • Must be very detail oriented and organized
  • Knowledge of analyzing data and submitting reports to meet deadlines
  • Excellent professional phone skills
  • Experience maintaining files and records both computerized and hard copy
  • Ability to fluently read, write and communicate in English
  • Must be able to prioritize and switch priorities at a moment’s notice
  • Able to effectively interact, in a professional manner, with a variety of government agencies, state, county, city and federal
  • Ability to comfortably, both mentally and physically, perform all aspects of job description and other duties as assigned by supervisor

Physical Abilities

  • Ability to bend and lift at least 25 pounds
  • Ability to sit for extended periods of time while viewing a computer monitor
  • Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard
  • Capable of hearing and speaking to exchange information
  • Ability to read reports and data
