This role is ideal for someone who is enthusiastic about youth development, enjoys working outdoors, and wants to make a positive impact. If youโ€™re organized, team-oriented, and ready to learn, this is a great opportunity to grow your skills while making a difference as a Program Assistant at the Augusta Teen Center!


ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Assist in planning, leading and implementing programs and general activities
  • Provide high quality outdoor, educational and recreational experiences for teens
  • Assist in the creation of a weekly programming schedule.
  • Assist in daily programming activities.
  • Help in keeping daily attendance and meal records.
  • Ensure the general safety of the club & its members.
  • Act as a mentor to the teens by participating in programing appropriately.
  • Suggest new ways to improve the club.
  • Assist program management as needed.
  • Foster a work environment thatโ€™s inclusive, as well as diverse, where people can be themselves.

WORK SCEHDULE: Monday - Friday after school and occasional weekends / 16 hours per week


Requirements:

SKILLS & COMPETENCIES:

  • Ability to assist, lead, plan organize and implement program activities.
  • Team oriented
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Strong organizational and communication skills

KNOWLEDGE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:

  • High school diploma or equivalent

EXPERIENCE:

  • No experience necessary. Will train.
