Job Description
This posting is to establish a pool of qualified applicants. The department may not be actively recruiting. Applications submitted will remain active for up to one (1) year.

Summary Description:
Coordinate the activities of the water supply technology outreach program; communicate with District staff/faculty, educational, industry and community partners; work independently with minimum supervision.
Representative Duties:
The following duties are typical for this classification.
  • Perform informational outreach services and activities for local high schools, targeted community groups, and industry partner agencies.
  • Assist in the distribution of specialized information on water supply technology instruction and support programs.
  • Work collaboratively with other support programs in the development and implementation of coordinated marketing, recruitment, and outreach activities.
  • Conduct a variety of workshops and presentations.
  • Represent the Water Supply Technology Program at meetings, conferences, and other events as needed.
  • Participate in liaison activities with water agencies and community-based organizations that provide similar outreach services.
  • Performs related duties as required.

Qualifications
Education and Experience Guidelines:
Any combination of education and experience that would likely provide the required knowledge and abilities is qualifying. A typical way to obtain the knowledge and abilities would be:
Education/Training:
  • High School diploma or GED equivalency.
License or Certificates:
  • Possession of valid Class B and C driver's license.

Preferred Experience:
  • Experience working with outreach programs.
  • Experience working in the Water Supply Industry.

• Be on the SBCCD Approved Drivers List within the first month of employment.
