What’s a typical day as Program Assistant I – Food Bank? You’ll be:
- Representing the food bank program to nonprofit organization partners, the public, donors, volunteers, and internal staff
- Taking the lead in ensuring program quality and compliance across the food bank’s partner agencies
- Managing compliance and monitoring systems, evaluating agency partners for adherence to food bank regulations and policies
- Identifying, developing, and supporting new networking sites to expand community outreach
- Serving as a key liaison between the food bank program and the public
- Assisting with grant applications, special projects, and fundraising events under the direction of the Program Manager
- Frequently traveling throughout San Bernardino County to engage partners and stakeholders

- Have experience working with nonprofits, social service agencies, or similar programs (must have)
- Are enthusiastic, driven, persuasive, and passionate about increasing food security in San Bernardino County
- Excel in communication, customer service, and relationship-building, particularly with individuals from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds
- Possess strong initiative and judgment and can handle a variety of routine and non-routine questions independently
- Are able and willing to travel extensively throughout San Bernardino County (must have)
- Demonstrate the ability to manage multiple tasks, projects, and deadlines efficiently
