Job description

This position is responsible for supervising paid and unpaid employees and program participants involved in Lindsay after school program. Assist with the development, coordination and implementation of the recreational programs for children and youth ages 4-12 yrs. 

Qualifications:

  • Education/Training or working towards completion in; Recreation, Social Work, ECE, Education, Child and Youth Studies, Sport Admin/Management
  • Current certification in Standard First Aid Level & CPR C, or willingness to obtain
  • HIGH FIVE Principles of Healthy Child Development is required or willing to obtain
  • Criminal Reference Check (18+ years of age) and a Vulnerable Sector Screening (19+ years of age) in accordance with the Police Record Checks Reform Act (PRCRA). Applications can be completed online through your local Police Station.
  • G Class drivers license (asset), F- Class or willingness to acquire.
  • Available Monday-Friday during after school hours
  • Experience working/volunteering with children aged 4-12
  • Experience supervising a team of staff
  • Effective communication skills, confidence, strategic thinking, hard work and dedication.

Work schedule: Monday - Friday (20 - 25 hours/week)
