Job Description
Official Title: 21st CCLC Certified Tutor
(SERVICE AGREEMENT)
CPI Code:
Department: Before and After School Programs
FLSA Status:
Reports To: Site Manager
Evaluation: After 6- month probationary
period; Annually thereafter
Summary Description of Classification: Provides and implements planned instructional
activities for Before and After School Program students.
Minimum Qualification Standards
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Responsible for maintaining daily student attendance reports for assigned students
  • Maintains and follows accurate record keeping in compliance with procedures when assigned to the front desk
  • Responsible for developing, planning, and implementing a variety of student instructional activities
  • Responsible for behavior management of students
  • Follows daily time schedule as assigned by the director
  • Knowledge of and follows the site safety procedures
  • Attends and participates in After School Program staff meetings and required training sessions
  • Assumes other duties as assigned by the site manager
Hours vary daily. Must be flexible on meeting and special event days.
Knowledge, Abilities and Skills:
  • Must understand how children and adults learn.
  • Must possess computer and associated technology skills.
  • Must have experience in project implementation.
  • Must have experience working with and knowledge of community resources.
Education, Training and Experience:

  • Must be over 18 years old
  • Bachelor's Degree required
  • Georgia Teaching Certificate required.

Physical Demands: Tasks involve the regular and, at times, sustained performance of moderately physically demanding work, typically involving some combination of climbing and balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and crawling, and that may involve the lifting, carrying, pushing, and/or pulling of moderately heavy objects and materials (20-50 pounds).
