Job description

Alzheimer's Community Care ("ACC") is a non-profit organization that provides support and services to families, caregivers, and patients of Alzheimer's disease and other conditions resulting in dementia.
Program Assistant
We are seeking a full-time Program Assistant for our Specialized Day Center. As a Program Assistant, you will be responsible for assisting in the development, implementation, and facilitation of therapeutic activities for patients in the Specialized Alzheimer's Day Service Center, including hands-on assistance with patients' activities of daily living.
Responsibilities:

  • Assist in the development, implementation, and facilitation of therapeutic activities for patients in the SADSC
  • Provide hands-on assistance with patients' activities of daily living
  • Ensure the safety and well-being of patients at all times
  • Assist with meal preparation and feeding
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements:
  • Clear, active Florida Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license or Home Health Aid (HHA) Certification
  • Ability to work between 8 am to 5:30 pm Monday through Friday
  • Must pass AHCA level II criminal background screening and drug screening
Skills:
  • Experience working with patients with Alzheimer's disease or related neurocognitive disorders preferred
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
