  • You have a temporary full-time position (approx. 35hrs p/week), for about an 18 month contract.

Your tasks at a glance
  • You assist during the pre-op exams and fill the patient's charts accurately.
  • You answerpatient's questions and ensure the best service.
  • You work closely with Optometrists.
  • You conduct pre-operative and post-operative tests for patients.
  • You updatethe appointment system after every patient's consultation.
  • You schedule and confirm post-operative appointments by telephone.
  • You support the organization's Risk Management program by identifying and promptly reporting patient safety concerns, incidents, or potential risks to clinic management, to assist in the organization's overall efforts to identify, report, and mitigate risks.

  • You are comfortable with computers, technology, and Microsoft 365 (knowledge of EMR systems is an asset).
  • You have an interest in the medical field and have a passion for delivering excellent customer service.
  • You find it easy to connect with others and quickly build trust.
  • Your experience in the health care field is considered an asset (ex: medical assistant, physiotherapy assistant, optometry assistant, orderly, dental assistant, pharmacy lab technician, sterilization assistant, animal health technician assistant, veterinary assistant, etc.).
  • You are looking for a fast-paced, dynamic work environment where your ability to work in a team and excel at multi-tasking will be an asset.
  • Schedule: You have flexibility to work between Monday and Friday 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM, with rotational Saturdays 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM.
