Job description

Program Administrator - Group Home (IDD / Developmental Disabilities)
Location: Sheridan, California


Job Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $90,000 Salary

Join Our Team & Lead with Purpose

We are hiring a Program Administrator to oversee operations in a licensed group home supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (IDD) and/or behavioral health needs. This role ensures high-quality, person-centered care aligned with California Title 17, DDS, and Community Care Licensing (CCL) standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and supervise DSPs (Direct Support Professionals) and Lead DSPs
  • Manage daily operations of a residential care facility/group home
  • Ensure implementation of Individual Program Plans (IPP), behavior plans, and documentation compliance
  • Submit and oversee Special Incident Reports (SIRs) within required CA timelines
  • Coordinate care with Regional Centers, families, therapists, and service providers
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with medication administration policies (Title 22)
  • Support staff scheduling, training, and performance oversight
  • Promote community integration, client independence, and person-centered outcomes
  • Maintain compliance with health & safety standards, fire drills, emergency preparedness, and facility maintenance
  • Manage household budgets, petty cash, food, and supplies

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, or related field (preferred)
  • 2+ years experience in IDD services, developmental disabilities, behavioral health, or residential care
  • 1+ year of leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong knowledge of Title 17 regulations, DDS guidelines, IPP process, and SIR reporting
  • Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) or Licensed Psychiatric Technician (required)
  • Valid CA driver's license with clean driving record
