Company Description

Local outsourcing firm seeks accounting consultants who wish to work part-time with flexible hours who have experience in the full accounting cycle. Currently we have 20 professional staff divided among consultants and employees. Firm specializes in Outsourced Accounting including the entire accounting cycle from Bookkeeping through CFO services. Industry focuses are Non-Profit, Gov. Contractors, Law Firms and other Professional Service firms and small businesses

We are looking to add quality individuals to our versatile team of Bookkeepers, Sr. Accountants, Accounting Managers and Controllers/CFO. Only people who exhibit excellence and integrity and have a passion for working with a variety of small businesses need apply.

Job Description

Currently we are seeking qualified individuals at the Bookkeeping and Accounting Manager levels.

Bookkeeper will performing various accounting tasks including:

  • A/P and A/R data entry / management.
  • Bank and Credit Card data entry / reconciliation.
  • Posting of Closing / Adjusting entries.
  • Income and Expense segregation.
  • Payroll entry and reconciliation.
  • Development and Management of chart of accounts.
  • Work remotely, typically from home to complete the above task.

Accounting Manager will:

  • Supervise and manage 2-3 Bookkeepers.
  • Prepare and/or review internal Financial Statements.
  • Analyze Financial Statements.
  • Be one of the main contacts with the clients.
  • Report directly to one of the firms Controller/CFO consultants.
  • Although there will be some face to face contact with client, most of the work will be done remotely.


Qualifications

Candidates must have a proficiency with various technologies, including 3rd party accounting applications, especially QuickBooks. Must also be proficient with Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Candidates must be well organized and have excellent verbal and written communication skills. Successful candidates will have the ability to relate/react well with clients. Candidates must also have the discipline to work remotely and a suitable home office environment.

Background & Experience

Minimum 5 years' experience providing accounting services to small/mid-sized businesses.

Extensive experience using QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.

Proven track record in the entire accounting cycle.

Experience in handling multiple clients.

Prefer degree in Accounting or Finance

CPA QuickBooks Pro Advisor certification a plus.
