  • Schedule:
    Monday-Thursday program schedule (5 ¾ hours per day - includes up to 1 hour planning/week)
  • High School: Staff 7:15 AM - 1:10 PM | Students 7:30 AM - 1:00 PM
  • Middle School: Staff 9:15 AM - 3:10 PM | Students 9:30 AM - 3:00 PM
  • Elementary School: Staff 8:15 AM - 2:10 PM | Students 8:30 AM - 2:00 PM

Salary:
  • $20.50/hour for professional learning and training
  • $24.12/hour - Certified Paraprofessionals (verified thru DEEDS) during program hours
  • $15.00/hour - Non-Certified Paraprofessionals during program hours

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Program Implementation & Student Engagement
  • Assist teachers and program staff with summer programming that supports academic learning, enrichment, and student engagement
  • Support student entry, transitions, and dismissal procedures to maintain a safe and structured environment
  • Model and reinforce positive behavior, SEL strategies, and program expectations
  • Encourage participation and support engaging group interactions

Student Support & Leadership Development
  • Provide small-group or one-on-one support to students during academic and enrichment activities.
  • Support students with organization, study skills, and personal goal setting.
  • Reinforce positive behaviors and help students build interpersonal and leadership skills.

Community Engagement & Family Partnerships
  • Assist with enrichment activities, field experiences, and program events
  • Support communication of program goals and activities to families, encouraging participation and involvement.
  • Support initiatives that strengthen school-home partnerships and promote student well-being (academic, social-emotional, health).

Data, Safety, and Compliance
  • Assist with attendance tracking and other data collection as directed by program staff.
  • Supervise and ensure student safety during daily activities, transitions, and field trips.
  • Maintain reliability, punctuality, and preparedness for each assigned session.

Professional Learning & Program Expectations
  • Participate in required professional learning and training aligned with 21CCLC guidelines.
  • Collaborate with program staff to ensure consistent implementation across sites
  • Perform additional duties as assigned by Site Coordinator, Principal, or District Leadership

Minimum Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework or paraprofessional certification preferred.
  • Experience working with youth in schools, summer programs, or community organizations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build positive relationships with elementary, middle, and high school students.
  • Commitment to fostering inclusive, engaging, and safe learning environments.
  • Bilingual skills preferred but not required.
