Job Title: Professional Cook Forbes Five-Star Resort 

Job Pay Rate: Cook I ($19.13/Hr.) & II ($18.56/Hr.)

Role Levels:

We are hiring for two different levels within this posting:

  • Culinary Cook II (Entry-Level): Perfect for professionals looking to build foundational culinary skills and gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced, luxury kitchen environment.
  • Culinary Cook I (Lead-Level): Ideal for experienced culinarians ready to take ownership of preparation, execution, and maintaining the highest culinary standards.

*Candidates will be considered for the appropriate level based on their experience and qualifications.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Prepare or assist in preparation of hot and cold food items as specified in specific work area.
  • Support breakfast, lunch, and/or dinner service in restaurant or banquet setting.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and sanitary kitchen environment following safety guidelines.
  • Follow food safety, sanitation, and SERV Safe standards.
  • Assists chef with maintaining the kitchen and keeping staff on task.
  • Understand and adjust recipes according to business levels.
  • Assists with organization of product, equipment, and necessary paperwork.
  • Precisely follows portion control, presentation of food, consistency of food, and flavor as determined by the culinary department.
  • Checks coolers for proper rotation of food items to prevent spoilage.
  • Ability to check and complete mise and place and pars to set up the station.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work cohesively as part of a team.
  • Ability to focus attention on guest needs, always remaining calm and courteous.
  • Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines.
  • Takes required breaks

At higher levels, you’ll take greater ownership of execution, quality control, and team support within your station.

What we are looking for:

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D
  • 2 years of preferred culinary experience. 
  • Must be at least 18 years old.
  • The employee is occasionally required to lift/pull/push up to 50 pounds and will be working in conditions that are both inside and outside at times.
