Job description

Position: Restaurant Server

Pay Rate: $25-40 per hour inclusive of hourly pay rate + service charge*

*$25-40 per hour based on $6.42 per hour base wage + service charge commission paid per shift; historically, this position averages service charge commission earnings of $16-26 per hour. Service charges are commissions and will fluctuate based on events and time of year.

This position always earns at least the current Colorado minimum wage $15.16 per hour.

What you will be doing:

  • Execute service duties in accordance with Forbes AAA inspection standards and Broadmoor Standards of Excellence
  • Maintain knowledge of, abide by, and enforce Colorado liquor laws 
  • Set up and breakdown table and chairs
  • Ensure tables are neatly and appropriately set
  • Place orders and serves food/beverages including alcoholic beverages 
  • Maintain stations
  • Respond to guests' needs and assists fellow staff 
  • Bus and reset tables
  • Stack dishes on trays in an orderly and safe manner
  • Must remain available on the floor to perform additional duties upon request
  • Clean work area at the conclusion of shift
  • Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Maintain knowledge of Broadmoor history and grounds
  • Maintain knowledge of Broadmoor restaurants and retail outlets
  • Maintain knowledge of local points of interest and activities
  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment
  • Uphold and abide by all Broadmoor policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
  • Other duties as assigned

What we are looking for:

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with experience working in the Food and Beverage industry
  • Flexibly in schedule as it will change often
  • Enthusiastic, friendly, and energetic team member who works well with others
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills
  • In compliance with state liquor laws, must be at least 18 years of age.
  • Occasional heavy lifting (up to 50 lbs) with a work environment that may be indoors and outdoors at times
