The Production Lead is a junior leadership position responsible for supporting the efficient flow of product through an assigned production area. This role helps coordinate people, equipment, materials, and priorities to meet or exceed daily production goals while maintaining quality, safety, and a positive work environment.


The Production Lead is expected to lead by example, work independently, communicate effectively, and help create a team-focused atmosphere that maximizes productivity. This position is ideal for individuals looking to grow into a broader leadership or supervisory role.

Key Responsibilities 

  • Lead employees in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with a strong focus on safety, quality, and productivity.
  • Assess team members' skills and knowledge, identify training needs, and assign employees effectively based on daily production requirements.
  • Monitor productivity, instill a sense of urgency, and identify opportunities to improve output.
  • Help resolve minor production issues and escalate more complex problems as needed.
  • Coordinate with the Materials team to maintain appropriate supply levels and inventory.
  • Partner with the technical maintenance team to ensure equipment is properly maintained and operating as intended.
  • Expedite orders throughout the plant to ensure customer orders are completed accurately and on time.
  • Support the design, implementation, and evaluation of new procedures and process improvements.
  • Lead change effectively by communicating expectations and supporting team adoption.
  • Promote and enforce company policies, procedures, quality standards, and safety requirements.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.
  • Coach, train, and support team members through feedback, delegation, and development opportunities.

  • Prior experience in a production, manufacturing, warehouse, or similar fast-paced environment preferred.
