Position Summary

As a Senior Manager of Product on the Aetna Pharmacy Commercial team, you will help build and execute the commercial pharmacy product roadmap that advances Aetna's integrated medical and pharmacy value proposition. This role is accountable for helping move Aetna Commercial Pharmacy strategy from discrete initiatives to a scalable product model - one that manages total drug cost across the medical and pharmacy benefits, improves the member and provider experience, and makes integrated value measurable and sellable for clients. The ideal candidate is a disciplined product thinker who can connect strategy to execution, manage complex cross-functional work, and bring structure, clarity, and urgency to high-priority initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Help advance the pharmacy benefit product strategy, including product lifecycle management, competitive intelligence, trend management solutions, and migration of priority pharmacy programs into a dedicated product model.
  • Coordinate cross-functional execution across Aetna Pharmacy, Commercial & Specialty Markets, Caremark Integrated Business Unit, Caremark Sales, underwriting, reporting, digital, regulatory, compliance, clinical, and operations teams.
  • Prepare executive-level updates, decision materials, status reporting, and roadmap summaries that clearly communicate progress, risks, dependencies, and decisions needed.
  • Support continuous improvement of product development processes, operating model clarity, decision rights, and accountability structures.

Required Qualifications

  • 7-10 years of experience in healthcare
  • 5+ years of experience in health insurance, PBM, pharmacy, product management, strategy, consulting, or related fields.
  • Experience supporting product strategy, roadmap development, product lifecycle management, or implementation of strategic initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and communication skills, including experience developing executive-level recommendations, status updates, and decision materials.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working across health plan and PBM organizations to develop integrated solutions, value propositions, or client-facing strategies.
  • Strong product mindset with the ability to translate strategic priorities into structured plans, clear requirements, and measurable business outcomes.
  • Ability to build relationships, influence stakeholders, and drive alignment across business, operational, and functional teams.
  • Highly organized, adaptable, and accountable, with a collaborative approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.

Education

  • Bachelor's degree preferred or a combination of professional work experience and education.

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$82,940.00 - $182,549.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors. This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above. This position also includes an award target in the company's equity award program.
