Position Overview:
Product data accuracy, item setup execution, data integrity. The Item Procurement Coordinator is responsible for the accurate and timely setup of product information, ensuring data integrity to support ecommerce, store operations, merchandising and reporting. This role ensures product data is complete, accurate, consistent and aligned to business needs, enabling accurate product presentation, inventory flow and performance tracking across channels. This role brings strong attention to detail and operational discipline, bringing precision and accountability to product data.
Essential Job Functions:
  • Own item setup for all products, ensuring accuracy across style information, attributes, classifications, and pricing

  • Ensure all required data fields are complete and aligned to merchandising and operational standards

  • Validate data accuracy prior to product launch

  • Maintain and update product information as needed throughout the product lifecycle

  • Partner with merchandising, planning and operations team to ensure timely and accurate set up

  • Compile and organize product data in excel for use by the copywriting team

  • High accuracy of product data across systems

  • On-time product setup aligned to launch timelines

  • Minimal errors impacting site experience, selling or reporting

  • Monitor and maintain consistency of product data across all systems and channels

  • Ensure product attributes and classifications support merchandising, filtering, reporting and selling

  • Identify and resolve discrepancies in product information, attributes and classifications

  • Partner with Site Merchandising to ensure data supports desired reporting, filtering, navigation and merchandising online

  • Partner with relevant teams to troubleshoot and solve data-related issues

  • Establish and maintain standards for product data quality and completeness

  • Strong cross-functional alignment of product data requirements and standards

  • Timely resolution of data discrepancies through effective partnerships with merchandising, planning and operations teams

  • Reduced errors and rework in item setup and data maintenance through streamlined collaboration.

  • Product data consistently meets needs of downstream teams and customer experiences

  • Support product data preparation and validation for system or platform changes

  • Partner with cross-functional and technical teams to ensure accurate data mapping and transfer

  • Validate product data in new systems to ensure accuracy and completeness

  • Accurate and complete product data migration with minimal errors

  • Timely identification and resolution of data issues during transition

  • Strong collaboration with cross-functional teams throughout the process

Scope, Complexity and Autonomy:
  • 2-4 years of experience in item setup, product data management, merchandising operations, ecommerce operations, or related field

  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and product setup

  • Experience working with PLM, PIM, ERP, or item management systems (Backbone and PIM platforms preferred)

  • Strong Excel skills, including data organization and validation

  • Understanding of product attributes, taxonomy, classifications, and ecommerce merchandising structures

  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

  • Strong organizational and process management skills

  • Experience working cross-functionally with merchandising, ecommerce, planning, operations, and reporting teams

  • Ability to identify, troubleshoot, and resolve data inconsistencies and operational issues

  • Understanding of how product data impacts ecommerce, inventory flow, reporting, and customer experience

  • Comfortable working within evolving systems, processes, and platform changes

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and maintain alignment on data standards

Starting Range: $70,000 to $75,000
