This position reports to the Analytical R&D Manager
Roles & Responsibilities
In this role, you will have the opportunity to contribute to client s success with technology, software, product, and system development. Each day, you will identify and implement innovative solutions to relevant problems. You will also showcase your expertise by providing ideas and by being able to work both independently and as part of a Research & Development (R&D) team. The work model for the role is: Hybrid. This role is contributing to the Process Automation Measurement & Analytics division. You will be mainly accountable for: You will be an active contributor to the product development in Business Line Instrumentation, from early concept phase to design, validation, and release to the manufacturing units. You will be working in R&D multidisciplinary projects and collaborating with cross-functional teams in embedded electronic design for instrumentation devices, and be responsible for functionality, performance, cost, and quality of the deliveries. You will collaborate actively with technical experts from other areas and across functions, and contribute in relevant forums both internal and external.
Qualifications for the role
  • Bachelor s degree in electrical /electronic Engineering from a reputed University.
  • 15+ years of work experience in Electrical /Electronic component design and engineering.
  • Hands on experience in digital, mixed signals and analog electronic circuit designs, Schematic and Layout preparations and have excellent troubleshooting skills, component selection, creating BOM s and release packages.
  • Experience in electronic board development in low-power, low-noise electronic design for electromagnetic immunity and knowledge about product usage in safety and Hazardous area applications.
  • Strong interest in physics and sensing technologies. Domain knowledge in one of the following areas: process automation (preferred), industrial applications, automotive, medical, etc.
  • Knowledge of field bus and industrial communication protocols is needed, and hands-on experience in HART, Profibus, Profinet, and industrial Ethernet carries an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience in circuit simulation and CAE design tools like Altium (most preferred), Allegro, OrCAD, PADS, and knowledge about PDM & PLM software
  • Hands-on experience in EMI EMC testing, compliance requirements, certifications, low-power, low-memory world controllers design
