Job Description
Brandt is currently seeking a Territory Manager for Brandt Equipment Solutions for the Western US territory. This position is responsible for developing, managing, and supporting sustained and profitable growth Brandt's Construction Attachment and Machine Conversion product lines. The successful candidate will be responsible to maximize the sales, market share, and profitability in the given geographical area.
Required Skills
  • First line of contact for the Dealer
  • Ensure all Dealers are capable of handling the Brandt product line
  • Participate with US Sales Director and US Sales Manager in development and implementing plans for growing Brandt sales with dealers. The Candidate will also work with Brandt's team of Product Specialists for Attachments, and Material Handlers to grow sales in the territory.
  • Aid the sales team in achieving Brandt's product sales growth by providing a high level of product, application, industry, customer and competitor knowledge.
  • Coordinate and participate in delivering ongoing local product knowledge and application training for regional sales and dealer sales teams as scheduled.
  • Driving Sales for Brandt attachments targeting John Deere Construction dealers but also looking outside the John Deere Dealer Channel.
  • Driving Sales for Brandt Heavy Haul Trailers and Utility Trailers through Deere Construction dealers.
  • Research and track competitor product pricing levels, activities, programs and tactics.
  • Provide market intelligence and feedback to ensure Brandt's pricing, programs and marketing strategies are positioned to penetrate new markets and grow existing markets profitably.
  • Identify attachment product development opportunities that promote differentiation, enhance market penetration, and deliver increased profit opportunities for Brandt.
  • Provide insights and input on the right mix of inventory to achieve sales and profitability goals as per Trailer business objectives for various product categories.
  • Assist product line asset management goals on turns and aging as well as protection of company assets.
  • Participate in end customer visits with the sales teams as required
  • Extensive travel throughout the region network sometimes alongside Brandt's sales teams to actively support direct visits with major John Deere Dealers and Trailer dealer contacts and their customers (up to 3 weeks in a month)
  • Establish a personal relationship with Dealers
  • Ensure Dealers are educated on all aspects of Brandt Sales, Service and Finance
  • Assist Dealers with any and all sales and marketing opportunities which could include advertising, demonstrations, field days, open hours
  • Provide input into Sales Program Development
  • Provide input into Product Development
  • Assist in coordinating trade shows and attending trade shows in their territory
  • Other duties as assigned.

Required Experience
  • Must have a strong working knowledge of Construction dealers.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of sales and/or product or technical support knowledge and experience in heavy construction and forestry equipment working with manufacturers and/or dealers.
  • Strong organizational and customer service skills are a must.
  • Capable of basic computer skills, excel spreadsheets, outlook etc.
  • Aggressive team player, people person, self-starter and motivated towards goals.
  • Must be able to obtain or possess a valid passport and be able to travel internationally.
  • A recent drivers abstract will be required.
