Shifts: Multiple available, including off-shift, weekends, and travel as needed
About the Role
Join Indotronix as a Product Review Engineer 5 - Liaison Engineering and play a pivotal role in supporting commercial aircraft production at major Washington facilities. As the engineering expert on the factory floor, you'll resolve critical production issues, ensure design compliance, and drive innovative solutions that keep aircraft safe and efficient throughout their lifecycle. This is a high-impact, hands-on position for experienced aerospace professionals seeking to advance their careers in a dynamic manufacturing environment.
Responsibilities
  • Analyze production non-conformances and lead root cause investigations to develop effective engineering dispositions
  • Resolve complex product, process, quality, and operational issues using advanced engineering and design principles
  • Deliver real-time engineering support directly on the factory floor to maintain smooth production operations
  • Identify, document, and communicate deviations affecting design intent, safety, or quality
  • Drive and implement product and process improvements for continuous operational excellence
  • Participate in Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), engineering design reviews, and repair teams
  • Support aircraft production, post-production, repairs, and modifications with expert engineering input
  • Ensure supplier and build partner compliance with all engineering and manufacturing standards
  • Develop technical correspondence supporting safe aircraft operation and maintenance
  • Analyze and design structural repairs, perform static strength analysis, and create interim repair solutions
  • Establish non-destructive testing procedures, tools, and standards
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams including manufacturing, production, and other engineering groups

Required Skills and Experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited (or equivalent) institution
  • Typically 14+ years' experience in structures, systems, design, or production engineering
  • Proven expertise in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of production-related engineering issues
  • In-depth knowledge of manufacturing processes, aircraft production, and engineering principles
  • Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills in a fast-paced factory environment
  • Demonstrated hands-on engineering support in manufacturing settings
  • Current or recent BCA MRB (Boeing Commercial Airplanes Material Review Board) experience within the last 2 years

Preferred Skills
  • Proficiency with aerospace materials and advanced manufacturing processes
  • Experience in aircraft structural repairs and modifications
  • Proficient in static strength analysis and non-destructive testing procedures
