Northrop Grumman is seeking Configuration Analysts. This position will be located on-site at our Aeronautics Systems Sector Melbourne, FL location. The qualified candidate will become part of Northrop Grumman's Systems Engineering organization.
Example job duties include, but are not limited to:
  • Plan and coordinate preparation of project documentation, such as engineering drawings, production specifications and schedules, and contract modifications, to ensure customer contract requirements are met.
  • Review contracts to determine documentation required for each phase of project, applying knowledge of engineering and manufacturing processes.
  • Analyze proposed changes of product design to determine effect on overall product and system.
  • Coordinate modification records for management control.
  • Establish change orders and prepares for change authorization and documentation by company and subcontractor.
  • Review and analyze released engineering change data and coordinates changes with engineering, quality, support, manufacturing, and engineering data control activities.
  • Support program configuration and data management requirements.

This position may be filled as either an Associate Configuration Analyst or Configuration Analyst.
Basic Qualifications for an Associate Configuration Analyst:
A candidate, regardless of age and hiring source, must meet ALL of the below criteria. The candidate must:
  • Be completing or has completed their Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution
  • Be majoring in or having majored in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, Business Administration, Systems Engineering, or other related field
  • Be able to obtain and maintain a U.S. Government Secret security clearance (U.S. citizenship is a pre-requisite) as well as Special Access Program clearance within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company to meet its business needs
  • Final approved U.S. Government Secret security clearance AND final Special Access Program clearance are required to start

Basic Qualifications for a Configuration Analyst:

Preferred Qualifications for both levels:
  • Experience in financial accounting, making independent decisions and recommendations on behalf of a business, data management, or system acquisitions, especially in a DoD or contracting environment
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Knowledge of EIA-649 or MIL-HDBK-61A
  • Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management tools
  • Knowledge of Jira, Confluence and SharePoint
  • Excellent organizational skills to include the ability to multi-task and meet deadlines
  • Understanding of configuration management principles / best practices to include management of contract and supplier data
  • Active US Secret security clearance or TS/SCI security clearance

Salary Range:
  • Associate Configuration Analyst: $54,400 - $81,600/year
  • Engineer Software Quality: $65,500 - $98,300/year
